2 euro commemorative coin in Coincard dedicated to the 150th anniversary of death of Alessandro Manzoni, BU.

Alessandro Manzoni was an Italian author, poet and dramatist.
He is considered one of the greatest Italian novelists of all time for his famous novel The Betrothed, the cornerstone of Italian literature.
Manzoni had the principal merit of having laid the foundations for the modern novel and of having thus sponsored the Italian linguistic unity, in the wake of that morally and civilly committed literature proper to the Italian Enlightenment.
