The daisy (diploid daisy) is a herbaceous plant of the family Asteraceae, very common in the meadows of the Italian peninsula.
It grows spontaneously in the meadows, along the roads, in the sparse woods and in the ditches, but also in the fields and crops and orchards (by some is considered invasive species).
Prefers calcareous or siliceous soils, moderately moist, in sunny or slightly shady areas.
Average height 30 cm, rarely exceed 100 cm. These are perennial plants with buds placed at ground level with elongated stem and little leafy.
