2 euro commemorative coin dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Raffaello’s disappearance, Brilliant Uncirculated.
Raffaello was an Italian painter and architect born in Urbino in 1483. Probably a pupil of his father Giovanni Santi and later of Perugino, he soon established himself as one of the most renowned artists, despite his young age.
At that time in Urbino there was a real pictorial school that deeply influenced the painter, so much so that it can be said will always bring with him the traces of the atmosphere created in that place, an atmosphere full of ferment and creative sap.
His artistic evolution during his Florentine stay can be traced by examining the numerous paintings on the theme of the Madonna and Child.
