2 euro coin dedicated to the 100th anniversary of universal suffrage, UNC. Universal suffrage was introduced in Luxembourg on 26 October 1919. Before then, only 25% of men had the right to vote. In subsequent elections only one woman was elected to parliament, as the participation of women in politics was initially very low.
