The Carabinieri Anti-Monetary Counterfeiting Command, established on 19 October 1992, is the Carabinieri department specialized in the fight against counterfeit coins and in the fight against fraud with payment cards.
The Command conducts investigations throughout the country in the field of counterfeit money
connected with the activity of organized crime
and collaborates with the equivalent bodies of foreign police forces specialized in the field of counterfeiting, through the exchange of information and international police cooperation through Interpol and Europol.
