2 euro coin dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo Da Vinci. Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian inventor, artist and scientist. Leonardo has grown artistically in an environment where he was taught to conceive the human figure, sculpted or painted, not immobile but inserted in space. He has ranged in almost all fields of human knowledge. He spent the last periods of his life in France, where he brought some paintings in Italy, including the Gioconda. He died in Amboise on May 2, 1519. The coin depicts his famous painting "Lady with the Ermine", exhibited at the Czartoryski museum in Krakow.
