2 coin dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Helmut Schmidt, UNC. Helmut Heinrich Waldemar Schmidt was a German politician and officer. After World War II he took part in the Socialdemocratic Party and became a parliamentarian of the Bundestag from 1953 to 1962. He was also Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany from May 6th 1974 to October 1st 1982. He kept the role of Minister for Defence of FRG from 1969 to 1972 becoming Minister for Finance.
