2 euro commemorative coin dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the death of Perugino, Brilliant Uncirculated.

Owner of two workshops, in Florence and Perugia, Perugino was for a couple of decades the most famous and influential Italian painter of his time, so much so as to be called "the best teacher of Italy".
He attended Verrocchio’s workshop together with Botticelli and Leonardo da Vinci.
He is considered one of the greatest exponents of humanism and the greatest representative of Umbrian painting of the fifteenth century.
He collaborated in the decorations of the Sistine Chapel with Sandro Botticelli, where he painted his most famous work, Delivery of the Keys.
He died in Fontignano, a hamlet of Perugia in 1523, where he had sought refuge from the bubonic plague.
