Les Baux-de-Provence is a French commune with 451 inhabitants located in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
In 1642, the town was granted to the Grimaldi family, rulers of the Principality of Monaco, as a French marquisate. Today, the title of Marquis des Baux remains with the Grimaldi family, although administratively the town is entirely under French jurisdiction. The title is traditionally held by the heir to the throne of the Principality of Monaco.
