2 Euro - Charlemagne Prize - Lussemburgo - 2026 - UNC

2 euro commemorative coin dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the awarding of the International Charlemagne Prize to the people of Luxembourg, UNC.

In 1986, the prestigious Aachen prize was not awarded to an individual political leader, but to the entire nation of Luxembourg, in recognition of its historic and steadfast commitment to integration, unity, and peace in Europe.
Ever since the original treaties, the country has distinguished itself as a cultural and institutional "bridge" between the various facets of the continent, serving as the host for key European Union institutions.
