Today, however, we would like to focus your attention on a particular attraction that you really hear too little about: the Citadel of Victoria, the ancient capital of the island, also known as Rabat. Built on a strategic point, The entire fortification dominates intrepid the profile of the city, reflecting the exact intentions of the military architects who built it.
The current structure of the Citadel dates back to the north to the Aragonese period, while the southern area overlooking Ir-Rabat (Victoria) was rebuilt by the Knights of San Giovanni between 1599 and 1603.
