2 euro coin dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the formation of the Portuguese Security Police Force, UNC.
Policia de Segurança Pública (PSP) is the national Portuguese Police Force and its aim is to defend the Republican Democracy, the safeguard of internal security and citizens’ rights. The design on the coin depicts human figures and buildings that symbolize citizens and all the urban areas where they operate. On the right stand out the name of the designer of the coin JOSÉ DE GUIMARÃES and the three principles of citizenship «DIREITOS», «LIBERDADES» and «GARANTIAS» that means Rights, Freedom and Guarantees.
