AVAILABLE FROM MID JULY 2020 Ludwig van Beethoven was born in Bonn on 16 December 1770, and the Vatican celebrates the brilliant German composer and pianist on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of his birth. His early talent, unfortunately exploited by a wicked father who forced him to exhausting trials in order to sell him off as a "child prodigy", yet the passion and ardor with which the young Ludwig spoke and pursued the ideals of freedom and justice that emerged from the French Revolution they were never extinguished neither by the ugliness of existence, nor by the hearing loss that struck him as soon as he was thirty.
