Description
2 euro coin dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first saw of the Madonna of Fátima, Brilliant Uncirculated.
On 13th May 1917, the Sunday before Ascension Day, Lucia, Francesco and Giacinta, after the Holy Mass, took the herd grazing in “Cova da Iria”, near the Portuguese city Fátima.
The children started to play in the village square when suddenly, they saw some lightings. They thought a rainstorm was coming, so they collected all the sheep and started to come back home.
After a while they saw another lightning and above a little tree a woman dressed in white, brighter than the Sun, and they identified her as the Madonna.
There have been other six visions after the First Saw.
