Description
Coin dedicated to the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for the Development, brilliant Uncirculated.
The UN General Assembly declared 2017 as the “INTERNATIONAL Year of Sustainable Tourism for the Development”.
“Sustainable Tourism” refers to a way to travel that respects our Planet, without damage the environment (natural, social and cultural too) and the development of other social-economic activities.
This kind of tourism is opposed to the mass tourism: the sustainable one has a low environmental impact that aims to encourage weak economies.
The Republic of San Marino dedicates to the International Year of Sustainable Tourism a 2 euro commemorative coin, designed by the Canadian artist Andrew Lewis, to promote this new way of thinking and promote the respect for environment by tourists.
