2 euro commemorative coin dedicated to the 550th anniversary of the death of Donatello, Brilliant Uncirculated. Donato di Niccolò di Betto Bardi, better known as Donatello, was born in Florence in 1386. Sculptor, goldsmith and also designer, he is considered one of the fathers of the Italian Renaissance. From the earliest works there emerged one of the key characteristics of Donatello's art, which became more and more refined over the years. The artist was in fact able to give his sculptures a humanity and a realism unknown to his contemporaries.
