2 euro coin dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Raphael's death, Brilliant Uncirculated.
Painter and architect born in Urbino in 1483, Raphael was a probable pupil of his father Giovanni Santi and later of Perugino.
He soon established himself as one of the most renowned artists, despite his young age.
At that time in Urbino there was a real pictorial school that deeply influenced the painter, so much so that it can be said that he will always carry with him the traces of the atmosphere created in that place, an atmosphere full of ferment and creative lymph.
The coin depicts the face of the Painter next to a detail of his work "Sistine Madonna": the "Angels" by Raphael.
